I have had this on my tbr for like ever. Can't understand why I kept putting it off, and thanks to some pushing from a good friend who said I would love it, I finally gave it a shot. And...I absolutely loved it.
This story pulled me right into its world. I loved Sylvan. He tried so hard at everything and wanted to understand what was expected of him, as much as he wanted to please. And Nygell...it was so easy to feel bad for him and his struggles with his position in life. I wish he would have made things a bit easier for Sylvan at times, but once they figured things out, it was beautiful. The wax scene was unbelievably hot.
I couldn't wait to see how things would turn out for them and was afraid at every page turn that something really bad would happen. Needless to say, I didn't want it to end. I really wanted to see them at the new manor and especially wanted to see them with Graf. I absolutely loved the epilogue.
While there are some elements of BDSM here, it is fairly light and easy to handle, with the exception of perhaps a whipping scene here or there, but even those are done so beautifully. I definitely recommend giving this gem a try.
