Wowzers. What a roller coaster ride this little gem is. From the get go, I loved both Mac and Al. I wasn't quite sure what was going on, but I was definitely enjoying the teasing and banter between the guys, and the distraction attempts by Mac made me giggle. Then we get to the meat of the story, knowing something happened to separate these two, and, while not as bad as it could have been, I still found myself getting extremely angry with Mac. Then I was cheering Al on, as if he could actually hear me. Then, I was so sad and felt so bad for poor Al, but then was cheering Mac on. Jeeze, then I was all "poor Mac!" Clearly, this book had me all over the place. While this ends on a decent enough HFN note, there are definitely some loose ends, and I really hope we get to see more of these guys.
