This turned out to be a whole lot of not what I expected. While I was longing for a good rent boy story, and this one is definitely about rent boys, it goes in a total different direction. There is only one real encounter with a client. The rest is mostly about the mystery and trying to figure out what's going on and who dunnit.
So, even though it wasn't what I was hoping for initially, the story was well written and kept me engaged and interested right to the end. Wren is a sweetheart who just can't seem to get a break. I liked him and Rufus together, and their scene with the client was really hot. I didn't really feel a deep connection with them, but there is enough going on that it didn't bother me too much. I also really liked Evan and wished we had gotten more of his story.
